On Friday, March 31, at Amazon World Headquarters, on behalf of the Seattle World Affairs Council, BCI’s Vice President for Global Access, Matt Lantz interviewed former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Maria Yovanovitch.
An American hero, Ambassador Yovanovitch served in Ukraine from 2016 to 2019. Her dismissal became subject of the first impeachment trial of Donald Trump. Her testimony during the hearings riveted the nation. Ambassador Yovanovitch recently published her memoirs, Lessons from the Edge. During the interview, Matt asked her about her upbringing, her values, her experiences as Ambassador and during the impeachment hearings, and her thoughts on the future of the war in Ukraine.
